Initial and in-service teacher training challenges

Based on an identification of current changes and trends, an overview of the challenges faced by the teaching profession is presented.  

Future proposals are required, among others: 

• Teacher training trends in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe;   Teacher training models and approaches; 
• Curricular trends in initial training;  
• Strategies for beginning teachers; 
• In-service training innovations;  
• Initial and in-service teacher training evaluation and accreditation; 
• Initial training and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
